His career as an independent truck driver allowed him to travel the nation and meet people from everywhere. Ken was a member of Gibson Christian Reformed Church and the American Legion.
Ken was preceded in death by: his wife Sharon, parents Marvin and Kathryn Elzinga, brothers Garry Elzinga and Jack Elzinga, sister Marilyn McNeal and sister-in-law Roseanna (Garry) Elzinga.
Ken is survived by: his daughters Tracy Achterhof and Danielle (Brent) Dykgraaf, granddaughter Alejandra Dykgraaf, great grandson Wyatt Dykgraaf, great granddaughter Kenna Dykgraaf and sisters Monty Elzinga and Laurie (Timothy) Sweet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private burial has taken place at Restlawn Cemetery with arrangements by Lakeshore Memorial Services.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Douglas Cove Care Facility and Hospice of Holland.
