

Ken was born in Holland Twp. September 5, 1929 to Gerrit and Josephine (Veldman) Oosterbaan. He graduated from Holland High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Ken enjoyed spending time with his 3 sons. He coached football, was a Boy Scout Leader, and a West Ottawa High School Athletic Booster. The family camped frequently in a tent camper that Ken built. He loved wood working, hunting, fishing, golfing, helping at church and winters in Arizona. Ken was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Shirley Busscher; and sister-in-law Lois Smith; and a brother-in-law Leonard Smith.
Ken is survived by his wife Eleanor of 72 years; sons Dennis (Kimberly) Oosterbaan of Holland, Douglas (Cindy) Oosterbaan of Cadillac, Donald Oosterbaan; grandchildren Aaron (Valerie) Oosterbaan and Michael (Ashley) Oosterbaan; great grandchildren
Spencer Oosterbaan, Aubrie Oosterbaan, Carter Oosterbaan and Cameron Oosterbaan; brother-in-law Raymond Busscher; sisters-in-law Betty (Stanley) Raak and Judy (Glenn) Timmer; many extended family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Ken’s life will be 11:00am Friday, August 20, 2021 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Officiating will be the Rev. Chip Byrd. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00AM until the time of the service at Lakeshore Memorial.
Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
