Kenneth Wayne Post

Ken was born on January 23, 1961 in Worthington, Minnesota to John and Dorothy (Zylstra) Post. He attended school at the Ocheyedan Christian School and graduated from the Ocheyedan Public High School. While growing up he attended the Ocheyedan Christian Reformed Church.

He was employed at Sathers in Round Lake, Minnesota until 1986 when he moved to Michigan and worked at Haworth Furniture Factory in Holland.

He enjoyed Nascar Racing, his extensive collection of model trucks and collecting baseball cards. He never lost his love of the farm where he spent the early years of his life along with visits during his latter years..

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis on October 24, 1974, a nephew Benjamin in 1988 and his father, John on October 15, 1994.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy, of Sibley, Iowa, his brothers, Harold and wife Everly of Holstein, Iowa, Larry of Ocheyedan, Iowa and Brian of Sheldon, Iowa. His sisters include Sharon and husband Ray Talsma of Chandler, Minnesota, Joyce and husband Claude Wiersma of Allendale, Michigan and Connie of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Additional survivors include nine nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Ocheyedan Christian Reformed Church at 11:00am. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
