Born in Fremont, Michigan in 1970, Laura grew up to be a woman of strength, commitment, and perseverance. She had a strong curiosity about the world around her and was driven to continue pursuing her interests throughout life. When she was interested in something, she was fully committed to it. In addition to her love of learning, Laura was an avid reader. She could often be found reading a good book and spending time with her feline companions, Colby, Cheddar, and Dexter. Always an animal lover, Laura had a special place in her heart for stray cats and helped them whenever she could.
Laura cultivated a passion for her beliefs and took pride in what she stood for. Despite facing multiple health challenges within the past several years, Laura was resilient and continued to pursue many hobbies, including gardening and jewelry making. She had a zest for life and loved sharing that with others.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents Garry and Linda Bruckner and infant sister Jenny.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Jerry Myers; son Derek (Jenny) Bruckner; and brother Shawn Bruckner. She is also survived by her beloved cats Colby, Cheddar, and Dexter.
Services for Laura are being planned for a later date and details will be announced when available.
