For Mike, family always came first, and he cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling in his later years, and loved exploring new places to go out to eat with his wife.
At his core, Mike had a servant’s heart. A master electrician, he worked for Ford Motor Company, Hart & Cooley, ran his own business Riley Electric, and retired from Magna Donnelly. He was known for helping those in need, and didn’t think twice about offering his time and expertise to those who needed a helping hand. Mike and his wife Deany also served as missionaries with New Tribes Missions, which would take them to Florida, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Jackson Michigan, and Bolivia. A man of tremendous faith, he was a member of Vertical Church in Zeeland, and proudly served his country aboard the USS Saratoga in the United States Navy.
Mike’s selfless spirit brought joy to many who knew him, and he will be sorely missed.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Augusta, and his sisters Patricia and Jeanne, and beloved family pet Mitzy.
