Raymond was a member of North St. Christian Reformed. He worked for Chris Craft for 25 years, and then Tiara Yachts for 34 years before retiring. He enjoyed wood working and working with his teams of horses.
Raymond was preceded in death by his son William Sterken.
He is survived by his Wife of 65 years, Anna Mae Sterken; children, David (Mary) Sterken, Peggy (Richard) Machiele, Jack (Char) Sterken, Jeff (Penny) Sterken; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and baby due in July; Sister, Irene Van Zanten; In-laws, Pat Hoekstra, Phyllis Petroelje, Marv (Bea) Keen, Margie Petroelje; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, May 18, 2015 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service Monday at Lakeshore Memorial.
