Verna was born on October 19, 1931, in Forest Grove, MI to Hilbert and Grace Smallegan. Growing up, Verna always wanted to be a nurse and was so proud that both of her granddaughters became nurses. Verna met and married the love of her life; Warren Victor and they had three wonderful children. She would say that was the proudest moment in her life. Verna worked in the adult education department at West Ottawa for several years. Raising three children, she would tell them to always face difficult times and never give up. Verna enjoyed many things including, reading the Bible, Christian books, cooking, baking, sewing (she even made a coat), and puzzles. Some of her favorite shows to watch were Wheel of Fortune and golfing programs. One thing Verna loved most in life was, that all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will love Jesus and serve Him. Verna was always kind to strangers, friends, and family. She will be deeply missed by many.
Verna is survived by: her children, Michael (Carol) Victor, Jill (John) Hardy, and Steven Victor; grandchildren, Kyle (Laura) Victor, Tracy (Zach) Dominique, Paul Victor, and Julie (Rob) Tretheway; and great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Jude, Charles, Lilly, Natalie, and Chloe.
Verna was preceded in death by: her husband, Warren Victor; parents, Hilbert and Grace Smallegan; siblings, Howard Smallegan, Muriel (Baron) Smallegan, and Beth Ten Have.
