

Willie Travis Kennedy Jr., age 72, passed away on Monday August 16, 2021, at 9:10am in Holland, Michigan. Willie was born on October 7th, 1948, to Willie T. Kennedy Sr. and Neatha Mae Cathcart Kennedy in Terrell, Texas. He graduated from Terrell High School. Willie went on to serve in the United States Military, where he was ranked as high as a Staff Sergeant, he was jump qualified and served time with the 82nd airborne division at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He also served in South Korea and in Fort Sam Houston Texas, he was a chef in the military and acquired a sense of passion for the art and made it into his career.
Willie is preceded in death by; his parents Willie T. Kennedy Sr. and Neatha Mae Cathcart Kennedy, Lynette Hill, Linda Diane Jones, Gary Kennedy, and Danny Kennedy.
Willie is survived by; his Wife Judith Kennedy, 4 kids (Laura L. Young, Ebony D. Kennedy, Cedric Miller, and Carl Simpson), 4 brothers and sisters (Peggy Bryant, Carl Kennedy, Annette Accomando and Jannette Brumsey). Willie is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides being an amazing chef Willie was an amazing man who was loved by so many and will be missed so much, Willie meant so much to so many people, and has blessed the life of so many.
Willie is now happy in heaven with no more pain and no more sorrow. He was a dad, grandpa, great grandfather, papa chico and a papa woo woo, he went by so many names and for one man to be so loved by so many is remarkable.
His viewing will be at 3:00 pm at Shekinah Revival Ministries on Thursday, August 19, followed by his funeral at 4:00 pm. He will be missed more than he could have ever anticipated. He’s Finally at rest in the Kingdom of God, so this is not for him but for us to say goodbye and we love you.
