

Alan David Sine, of Sunrise FL, passed away on December 2, 2018 in Plantation, FL. Alan David Sine was born in Waltham, MA to Donald W. and Elvira B. Sine on December 5, 1954. He attended Largo High School in Largo, FL and the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.
Alan was a pilot and instructor pilot with the United States Coast Guard and following his retirement in 1996, he continued as a pilot with various corporate airlines, culminating with fifteen years as a pilot with Net Jets, Inc. During his career with USCG, he was awarded The Coast Guard Commendation Medal w/Bronze Star, Humanitarian Service Medal w/two Bronze Stars, the Coast Guard Special Operations Service Medal, and the Secretaries Award for Outstanding Achievement, along with many others.
He was involved with the Men's Club of St. David Catholic Church of Davie, FL, and St.
Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church of Pembroke Pines, FL, the Knights of Columbus, Well Spring Ministry, as well as the United States Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Caroline Sine.
He is survived by his spouse, Dalila Sine; daughter, Stephanie (Mathew) Wilson; son, Keith Sine; son-in-laws, Erick Zelaya and Alejandro Zelaya; sisters, Dina Sine and Donna Berbling; brother, Eric Sine; and parents, Donald and Elvira (Dolly) Sine.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 Fred Hunter's University Drive Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. David Catholic Church with Fr. Steve officiating. Burial will follow at 11:15 AM on Friday, December 7, 2018 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
