You do not know me.  I was going through some old papers of my mothers and your fathers name along with his children (I am guessing) was on a sheet of paper.  I kept asking myself why his name sounded so familiar.  Then I remembered.  You father and my Uncle Nat were friends in Florida.  When my aunt got sick and passed very quickly, my mother went down to Fl to help my uncle  who was also quite ill.  Your father helped my mother and my uncle until they both left to come back to NY.  Your father drove up shortly after my uncle had passed, to visit and stayed for awhile.  I remember him always smiling, joking and very kind.  We had some nice conversations during that time. 
He liked to hold my daughter and play silly games with her - she was only a few months old .  Nice memories  of him.  He looks in his picture exactly how I remember him.   My condolences and prayers.

I went through my old photos & posted some of Uncle Al here. One of my cherished memories was playing Euchre with Loretta & old "crooked eye"! They won so much that we made Al turn his glasses upside down!

What a wonderful Uncle he was to us. We always saw him with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and a tallest of tales to tell.We are that much better as people and so is the world that he graced us with his love.His journey continues and he is with his eternal love, Aunt June.

The Greatest of the Great Generation. I loved his tales of honor, valor, glory, and past times of a different age, a better age. This is the guy who put his coat over a puddle for a lady, or held the door open for you, or said hello as you walked by, none of which seems to happen often enough anymore. I have learned from him, and will miss him and and his humorous stories.
