There are always stories about how people don't like to interact with their inlaws, with the Hudsons that I have never been the case with me. Mrs. Hudson from day one had welcomed me and made me feel truly at home. The love she showed to me and my kids was genuine. It was always a pleasure to stop by her house because she can talk about anything, Miami Heat or Dolphins, the news or whatever is trending. She will always be among the first to call to wish me happy birthday, happy father's day or whatever the occasion may be. She was full of care, love, sympathy, understanding and she was loved by all.I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel (Maya Angelou). She talked the talk and walked the walk. She will definitely be missed.

Mama I am so thankful for all that you have done for me....for "putting up" with all the mischief/trouble I used to create/find myself in. Thank you for your words of wisdom throughout the years....especially those you would share with me during those occasions of my "hot-headedness"......your cool, calm demeanor and even the way you used to look at me...conveyed a sense of peace, calm and "it's gonna be alright" Thank you for our long talks during the days and for your daily "checking-up" on me. During your periods of health-related issues you were always telling me "thanks" and I would say to you "thanks for what?"......because all my life you have been there for us and I felt that was the least I could for you......you were NEVER a burden to me and it was my honor to be there with you throughout. If I had to do it all over again I would do the same and then some. Mama you are my heart and as the lyrics from the song by "Boys to Men" goes....."Your love is like tears from the stars, mama I just want you to know ....loving you is like food to my soul" Mama I miss you dearly and it's difficult not having you around but I know I must pick-up and move ahead without you because that's the only way to continue the legacy you have left behind....a legacy of unconditional love, peace, forgiveness, being your brothers keeper, counting your blessings....putting God first.Rest in Peace my dear Mama......until me meet again+Love always...Joan

Mama the very last day I saw you alive and well will forever be etched in my memory. You held my hands and said, "Joan, I love you" and I said, "mama I love you more and more'. I am so grateful to God that He gave us that precious opportunity to say one last "I love you" to each other. Thank you God.

I will surely miss you very much Grandma. Since I can remember you always made sure to check up and ask how all of your grandchildren were doing. From when I was a child, throughout college and even when I am a grown adult working you have always called and asked to make sure everything is alright. I can remember all of the times when me or my siblings were sick we would stay at you and Grandpa's house until our dad came back from work for the day to pick us up. All of the times we would talk about sports like Miami Heat Basketball and come over and watch WWE wrestling, you knew more about the subject than me and my brother put together.
