Berniece Boyko, age 95, died peacefully on December 2, 2013, surrounded by family. A resident of Ft. Lauderdale at the time of her death, Berniece was born in West Virginia in 1917 to Rose and Frank Olsowski. She lived in a small coal mining town in the years prior to and during the Depression, before moving to New York City when she was a young wife and the mother of three children. She worked long hours in factories to help support her family before retiring in 1982. She moved to the Tampa area in 1984 and then to Ft. Lauderdale in 1990. She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Mary Cenko and Annie Rillero, son-in-law Ralph Rillero, daughter-in-law Barbara Sechuck, sister Emma Monahan and is predeceased by her son Nicholas Sechuck.
