Catherine Mary Catri

Catherine Mary Catri, 68, of Plantation, FL passed away on June 23, 2108, following a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Bernard and Mary Rasmussen, she was one of six children who grew up on Long Island and in Pittsburgh, PA.

Katie received a B.A. from Notre Dame College, University Heights, OH. It was in Cleveland that she met her husband of 47 years, Wesley Leonard Catri. They moved to South Florida in 1974 and raised their two children, Nancy and Wesley. Katie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and spent many hours at the ball fields, watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She was devoted to them and spent many hours making dinners, sweets and shopping for them. She was a fabulous cook, avid reader and loved to travel with her family to see their extended family and many long-time friends. Katie was a long-time parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.

Katie is survived by her beloved husband, Wesley Catri; children, Wesley E. (Katie) Catri and Nancy (Joe) Storey; her grandchildren, Joey Razz and Olivia Palma Storey, and Lillian Marie and Holly Kate Catri. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, John (Gail) Rasmussen, Steven Rasmussen, Jim (Libbie) Rasmussen, and Nancy (Gus Moser) Bowman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul "Razz" Rasmussen.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Gregory Catholic Church
