Catherine was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. She lived most of her married life in Jericho, Long Island, NY. She was a travel agent who traveled the world. When President Nixon opened China, she was one of the first tourists there. She was a gourmet cook who cooked the recipes gathered from her travels to the enjoyment of family and friends. All were welcome. She was most proud of being an active member of Philanthropic organizations. She was a daughter of Penelope from May 1, 1950 till her death. She served as a President of Perseus Chapter of Manhattan, President of Dasithea Chapter Hampstead and Narcissus Chapter Fort Lauderdale. She was District Governor of New York and Florida. She was a member of good standing of Philoptochos in both New York and Florida. She co-sounded the Pap Corps of Fort Lauderdale. She is preceded in death by her husband Peter, son Evangelos, and grandson Vangeli. She is survived by her daughters Stella Androutsopoulos, Venetia Kourakos, daughter-in-law Katai Kourakos, granddaughter Catherine Wagner, grandson Peter Kourakos and great grandchildren Maximillian and Seraphina Wagner.
