

Cesar Montoya, 72, passed away on May 31, 2024, in Pompano Beach, Florida. He was born on August 6, 1951, in Iquitos, Peru, a fishing town along the Amazonian jungle. He is survived by his beloved wife and companion of over 50 years, Danelia Perez de Montoya.
Cesar was a proud, compassionate, hard-working, and dedicated individual. He came to the US in 1969 to pursue post-secondary education in Electronics & Computer Technology. Throughout his career, he worked for Computer Products in Miami in the early 70s, at the city of Pompano Beach water plant, and dedicated 40 years to Broward County Public Schools. He was the first computer technician hired by the Broward School Board in 1984 and was known as the designer and founding father of the Metrology Lab for computer repair. Cesar was also an active member of the Federation of Public Employees, especially enjoying the apprenticeship program partnerships.
Outside of work, Cesar had a variety of hobbies, including fishkeeping, real estate and financial investment, and was a former member of the League of United American Citizens. He was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly to support his loved ones and ensure a good education for his children. Cesar took great pride in achieving US citizenship.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Dennis Montoya and Corrie Montoya, Jarlyn White and Kenneth C. White, Jennifer Lopez and Fernando Lopez, as well as his six cherished grandchildren.
Fred Hunter's in Davie, FL, is assisting with the arrangements for Cesar Montoya. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
