Charlie William Davenport, 83, of Hollywood, Florida passed away January 1, 2015, at Memorial Hospital Pembroke. He was born February 25, 1931, in Clayton, Georgia, the son of Hampton William and Maude (Ledbetter) Davenport.
Charlie was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Carpenters Union 123.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Dotson) Davenport; children, Juanita Hozey (Frank) of Abbeville, SC; Tricia Oliver-Smith (Charles) of Pompano Beach; Pauline Davenport of Ninety Six, SC; Charles Timothy Davenport (Robin) of Pembroke Park, FL; Patti Leigaber (Wayne) of Greenwood, SC; step-sons, Daniel Ray Wisehart of Crossville, TN and Jackson Wayne Wisehart (Polly) of Davie, FL; brother, Richard Davenport (Martha) of Clinton, SC; sisters, Tincy Welborn (Kermit) of Clayton, GA and Thelma Moore of Hollywood, FL; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers and sisters and a great-granddaughter, Kendra Vermont.
