Clara E. Kieffer "Betty"

“Clara “Betty” Elizabeth Kieffer, passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2021.

Betty was born in Savannah-La -Mar, Jamaica on March 6, 1931 to Winston Aguilar (pre deceased) and Isabell (Woodley) Aguilar (pre deceased), she had one brother Roland (pre deceased) and two sisters Lorraine (pre deceased) and Marguerite (pre deceased)

On September 7, 1947 she married Joseph Goodwill Kieffer (pre deceased 2000) in Kingston, Jamaica.  Betty dedicated her life to her husband and children, working alongside Joe at their company in Jamaica, Mak Rentals and also being an integral part of the Sir Henry Morgan Angling Association. She was known for her contagious laugh and her ability to never meet a stranger. Betty lived her life to the fullest every chance she got and persevered through life’s obstacles with the most positive attitude. After Joe’s passing she moved the Florida in 2002 where she lived with her daughter Judy Mae.

Betty is preceded in death by three children Jo-ann Kieffer, Robert Kieffer and Gary Kieffer she is also preceded in death by one granddaughter Kayleigh Kieffer-Banfalvy. She is survived by three children Janet ”Kitty” (Kieffer) Hardin, Judy-Mae (Kieffer) Brown and Sandra Kieffer. She is survived by ten grandchildren, Joseph Mendelsohn, Julie Hussey, Jennifer Radock, David Foster, Ashleigh Foster,Jake Hardin,, Joshua Kieffer-Banfalvy, Taylor Kieffer-Banfalvy, Jonathan Kieffer-Banfalvy and Jordan Kieffer-Banfalvy as well as eight great grandchildren “

 In lieu of flowers and planting a tree the family is requesting donations be made to the St Baldricks Foundation for childhood cancer research.
