Clifford Rostin drifted peacefully away on Friday, December 4, 2020, with his wife, Louise, by his side holding his hand. Their 58-year marriage was full of love, happiness, and mutual support. Clifford was born at home in Amityville, New York on August 8, 1934. His young ambition, and love of country, lead him to join the United States Navy at only 17, where he was stationed on an aircraft carrier during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Clifford joined the Suffolk County police force, where he eventually met the love of his life, Louise. After being married, Clifford left the force and enjoyed a long career at LILCO. The two raised two loving children, who survived him, Melissa Negri and Clifford Rostin. Clifford is also survived by five grandchildren, Jessica Eisenbarth, Jacqueline Eisenbarth, Vincent Negri, Katelynn Negri, Michael Negri, and his beloved dog Casey.
Clifford had a love of life, and after retiring to Florida, he enjoyed his many interests, above all, golf. Clifford did not limit himself, and he became an accomplished painter, and he lovingly shared his creations with friends and family. Anyone who met Clifford instantly loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Clifford to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Habitat for Humanity of Broward County.
