Connie Tocco was born in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, on September 11, 1918. She was the third youngest of seven children. Her parents, Carlo and Rosalia Ruggiero, were born in Palermo Sicily before emmigrating to "America"; and the City of Brooklyn around the turn of the 20th century.
Connie was married to Thomas Tocco in 1946. They were married 51 years before his death in 1997.
Connie was a homemaker and mother. She was a very kind and loving person to all her family and most anyone she knew. Although not one of her favorite pastimes, Connie was an excellent cook. She loved music and loved to sing and dance. She sang at many family affairs and won a dance contest with her brother Vito on the "Ted Steele" dance TV show.
Connie loved her life in Florida where she lived for 30 years. When asked where she was from, she would proudly say that she was a "Floridian"
Connie will be dearly missed...especially by her son "Tommy". Rest in peace Mommy.
