He is survived by his sister, Judith Kaine (Rwanda) and his stepbrother, Dane Derstine (Miami) along with his stepmother, Bambi Famous Kaine, his many loving Aunts, Diana Paver, Pamela Barton, Randa Paver, Karen Kaine, Betsy Spalter and Nancy Ishikawa. Dan was a vibrant young man with a dry wit, a love of art and music. He graduated from Full Sail University with a BS in Sound Engineering. He moved to Los Angeles and worked at CAA, in their music division. He coproduced music on his own record label, Prestige. Returning to Florida, Dan was a popular CrossFit coach who loved teaching his students. Dan's personal goals were achieved in Olympic Style weightlifting. He received a gold medal in recent competitions. Tributes in his memory will fund: NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness.
