David Matthew Corey

David was born in Hollywood, Florida to George E. Corey Sr. and Sharon Sue Oorbeek on December 20, 1975.  

After growing up in Cooper City, Florida David went on to graduate from Florida Atlantic University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.   David worked for Advanced Fire and Security where he was continuously recognized for his sales abilities and was widely viewed as one of the best salesmen in the company.  David was known for his kindness, love of laughter, passion for snowboarding, and his overall sincerity as a person…David will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

David is survived by his mother Sharon Oorbeek, father George Corey Sr., stepfather Roy Oorbeek, brother George Corey, sister-in-law Michelle Corey, nephew Alec Corey, sister Christa Rainone, brother-in-law Paul Rainone, niece Rylee Rainone, nephew Daniel Rainone, stepsister Kim Grimes and niece Taylor Grimes.  

There will be a visitation Wednesday 2/28/24 from 6pm-9pm and a Celebration of Life Gathering at 11am, Thursday 2/29/24.  Both will be held at St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church, located at 4870 Griffin Rd, Davie, FL 33314.

The family of David wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time and truly appreciate the outpouring of support for us and David.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to  ASPCA in the name of David Matthew Corey…David was an avid animal lover, and this would be a great way to honor him in his passing.
