Delia was born in Placetas, Cuba to Blas y Josefa Escobar on December 19, 1931. She married Gilberto Manso in 1952 in Cuba. In September of 1958, she and her two young boys came to the US and built a home. Her youngest to be born in the US. She was a mother that worked hard for many years as a seamstress and later in life she started a business selling used men’s Levi’s at a flea market. From where she met her long-term partner, Rapheal Borrego. She was beloved everywhere she went. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her greatest gifts. She will be greatly missed by all.
Delia is preceded in death by her partner, Gregorio Borrego, son Nelson Manso, parents, and 9 siblings.
Delia is survived by her sister Nieves, Placetas Cuba. Oldest son Guillermo Manso, his long-term partner Marta Casto; daughter-in-law, Iris Manso; youngest son Fredi Manso, his wife, Janet Manso; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 11:30am, November 28, 2025 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
Entombment to follow 2pm at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 301 N 72nd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024.
