Diana Lee Paynter

Diana was born in Janesville, Wisconsin to Helen and John “Pete” Birch on December 19, 1949 along with her twin sister, Deborah Dee Gilbertson.   Diana graduated high school in 1968 and married Gary Paynter on June 6, 1970, also in Janesville.  She had a long career as an Administrative Assistant for various businesses for over 50 years.   Diana was involved for almost 40 years in a variety of activities at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed leading and attending several bible studies as well as serving on several committees.  She faithfully participated in Backpacks for Kids as well as maintaining the church property flower gardens. Diana also enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls for her Church community.  

Diana is preceded in death by her parents Helen and John Birch.  

Diana is survived by her husband Gary Paynter, two sons Bradley (Denise) Paynter, Blake (Meredith) Paynter, twin sister Deborah Gilbertson, grandson, Thomas "TJ” and many dear friends.  

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday May 25th, 2024, followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering which will start at 12:00 pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Davie. Immediately following, a luncheon will be provided.
