Born in Phil Campbell, Alabama on December 14, 1932, daughter of Elbridge and Dessie (Gossett) Spear. At the age of 10, Dorothy and her family moved to South Florida settling in Hollywood.
A very religious woman, Dorothy was a longtime member of The Taft Street Baptist Church. Before her retirement, she worked for Sun Trust Bank for many years. She loved gardening and in her spare time enjoyed to reupholster furniture.
Survived by her children, Pamela Coleman and her partner, Charlene Rooney, Mathew Coleman and his wife, Sue Coleman, daughter-in-law, Donna Coleman, grandchildren, Kristi Busche and Tracey Womack, sister, Eloise Howell and her husband Floyd Howell. Also survived by two nephews, Scott and Todd Victory and niece Vicki Victory. She was preceded in death by her son James Coleman.
Visitation on Sunday afternoon, November 20th from 2:00 ~ 4:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral Service on Monday, November 21st at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
