Duane Simon

Duane Edward Simon, born June 23, 1967, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the age of 52.Duane is survived by his parents, Edward and L. Kay Simon, his wife Elisa, his children Terra (Adam) Krouse, Kylee and Tyler. Siblings Gene (Lisa) Simon and Brenda (Eric) Batson. Three beautiful granddaughters, Rowan, Laina, and Aria. Nephews- Zack, Hayden, EJ and Carter. Nieces- Kayla, Megan, Madison and Peyton. Duane Attended Michigan State University where he majored in criminal justice. Duane took pride in providing for his family. He was an extremely hard worker. He started in the construction industry as a carpenter apprentice and worked his way up to owning a commercial interiors business alongside friend and business partner, Douglas Walker. He was beloved for his outgoing personality and as well as for his work ethic. Friends and family will remember his love for adventure, a good prank, never being shy to speak his mind, poking fun of those around him and for sunshine and his flip flops. We will always remember the joy he brought to our lives and the wisdom he shared with those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed. Funeral gathering will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Tiffany Funeral Home in Lansing 3232 W.
