

Eduardo De La Cruz Pizano, born on the day of the cross on May 3, 1936 (aka: Edward, Eddie, Ed and Viejo) born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He immigrated to New York at the young age of 19. In New York, he met and married his beautiful wife, Candelaria (Candy or Vieja). Eduardo is survived by his loving wife Candy. Two children, Edward Pizano Jr. and Valerie Peterson (Pizano) and Son in Law, Andy and three grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica and Kacey Peterson. Eduardo was the youngest child of 8, born to Eduardo Pizano Fernandez. and Maria Gonzalez Pizano.
Eduardo, retired as a Crew Chief for American Airlines after 38 yrs of service between LGA, JFK, Puerto Rico and Miami International Airport. Eduardo and Candy moved to Hollywood, Fl in 1988. Eduardo loved to travel to his native country and visit with his beloved family. One of his passions was music. He was able to play piano or an accordion by ear. He never took a music class but was able to replicate it just by hearing it.
Eduardo was also a wonderful storyteller; his laughter was so contagious. His stories made you feel like you were living in that moment. His knowledge of history was always so informative and so full of details. His grandkids as well as his family and friends enjoyed listening to his stories and all you can hear was their laughter. Eduardo also enjoyed giving his family and friends loving nicknames. We will cherish these memories forever.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 21 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral home. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm, memorial service 1-2pm and reception from 3-5pm at the Fred Hunter community center, Taft street, Hollywood.
