
Eleanor Hannan, at the young age of 106, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026 in Hollywood. Eleanor was born in New York to David Stein and Esther Kaufman Stein. She was a lifelong Realtor and Broker, and took her last real estate exam at the age of 100. She worked alongside her husband, Robert Hannan in their Real Estate Brokerage, Hannan Realty, on Hollywood Boulevard and later wrote columns about theatre for the Hallandale Digest, and online, at www.spotlightonthestage.com.
Prior to marrying Robert Hannan, she was a Rockette in New York, and taught at her own dance school in New York city.
After moving her young son, Michael and daughter Sydney to Florida, she Had her third child, Laurie Hannan (Anton).
Having had a dream of going to college, she returned to Miami Dade College in her 60’s, achieving an Associate Degree in Broadcast Communications. She was later in print and film/tv advertising, and member of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association.
She was a television associate for Channel 10, in Miami, working on such children’s television shows as “Arthur & Company.”
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hannan, and son Michael Hannan, who practiced law in Florida and Colorado. She is survived by her daughters Sydney Hannan, and Laurie Hannan Anton, her three grandchildren, Stephen Fletcher, Traci Fletcher, Kelly Hannan Schoenfeld, and her two great grandchildren, Anna and Reed Schoenfeld.
The family wishes to thank all her home caretaker aides who were with her for many years, as well as Kindred Hospital, in Hollywood, who took care of her.
