Sunrise March 5, th 1931 -- Sunset July 23, rd. 2022
Ermine Cecilia Yarde, Daughter of the late Laurie Crosbie and Rosalie Daize was born on March 5th, 1931 in the island of Trinidad and Tobago. Ermine attended public school at an early age and became the caregiver for her ailing mother who transitioned early in life, leaving Ermine to care for and raise her siblings. At age sixteen, she met the love of her life, Clyde S. Yarde, and later were united in holy matrimony. Their union was blessed with six BEAUTIFUL children.
Ermine's loving relationship with God, generous spirit, love for people, infectious smile, sweet hand in the kitchen, love for bingo and the casino are just some of the insights that made her life as beautiful as the flowers she loved so dearly. Her unwavering dedication to her husband and family, combined with her love and influence will forever remain in the many hearts and lives she touched.
In 1968, determined to create a better quality of life for her family, Ermine travelled alone to the United States and served as a domestic servant. Within two years she was able to bring her husband, all of her children and her mother-in-law to the U.S. She elevated her career to becoming a nurse’s aid at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where she retired.
In 2004, the journey continued with the move from Reading, Pennsylvania to Florida, where she continued her loving relationship with God and joined the United Methodist church in Miramar where she faithfully served. We bless God for the long life she lived and the blessed and wonderful legacy she left!
On Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, Ermine peacefully and quietly transitioned to be with the Lord from her home in Tamarac, Florida, as she requested, with her lifelong companion by her side. She’s preceded by her son, Courtney and daughter Karen Yarde, brothers Cecil, Egbert and Walter Christian, sisters Mary, Cynthia and Claire.
Her beautiful and wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her beloved husband Clyde Yarde, children Marlene Yarde-Thompson and husband Andy Thompson (Americus, GA), Sherman Yarde (AZ), Sherrilann Yarde-Grinnage and husband Richard Grinnage (Tamarac FL), Cornell Yarde and wife Sherry Yarde (Reading, PA), Candice Yarde (Reading, PA), Wendell Yarde (Reading, PA), Damon Yarde (West Palm Beach, FL), and Patsy Skeete (Washington, DC).
