

Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 25, 1929, daughter of George and Helen Gianos. Raised and educated in Chicago, Ethel moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1970. Ethel was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Hollywood and was one of its founders when the church opened in 1974. She was a past president of the church association and sat on several committees' over the years. Ethel always enjoyed helping out when she could, especially working with the senior bingo.
Before her retirement, she was the owner of the Ethel L. Russell Realty Group and former owner and operated Petite Chteau Efficiency apartments in Hollywood.
Survived by her loving son, George H. Russell, two grandsons, George Albert Russell and James Phillip Russell, brother, Nicolas Gianos, niece, Cheryl Coats, great nieces, Kelly Scott and Kimberly Bigelow, great nephew, Eddie Coats, great great niece, Riley, great great nephews, Kyler, Scott and Jared.
Visitation on Friday, January 30th from 2:00 ~ 5:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street Hollywood. Funeral services on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 425 North 58th Street, Hollywood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
