He was the last of four children to Phillip and Frances Amanda Wallace of Cold Spring, Hanover, Jamaica. He was an adventurous go-getter. He was caring and loving and often denied himself as he lived for others.
His sense of adventure took him on travels from his small rural village to serving in the Second World War in the RAF (Royal Air Force of Great Britain) during which his home-base was London. After the war, sojourns in his homeland, Jamaica, and stays in New York would culminate with his eventual and final residence being in Coral Springs, Florida.
His willingness to take on any task led him to disparate occupations inclusive of Hotel Management, Garment Manufacturing, Manager of New Port East within the projects targeted at the largest commercial development of a Jamaica Sea Port and Manager of the Caribbean Development Corporation (CDC). No task was too difficult or presented too many obstacles that would cause him pause. His insatiable drive would not allow him to be deterred.
While working at Silver Seas hotel in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, he met Joyce Wahrmann who he married in 1956 in New York.
His generosity of spirit and the energetic manner in which he threw himself into activities or specific projects designed to provide assistance to others is greatly appreciated by his siblings, nieces and nephews, friends and acquaintances. Many of his acts of kindness are attested to by the recipients as being positive life altering events.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce, his brother Martel, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is greatly missed.
May his soul rest in peace!
