Francis Laceus Jerome

At the time of his passing, Francois was living at Broward Nursing & Rehab Facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Francois Laceus was born in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti on January 16, 1926, son of FusrelBernadel and Aristide Jerome. At the age of 20, he left his parents' home in Fond-des-Blancs to settle in Port-au-Prince where he was enrolled in the military and served for 30 years.

He married Rose (Mercure) Jeromein Port-au-Prince with whom he has 5 children. Francois also has 2 older daughters born from prior relationships in Haiti.

In 1982, Francois Laceus and his wife Rose came to the United States and settled in Evanston, Illinois. He worked at Evanston Hospital for nine years before he retired.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Rose Jerome, his loving children: Elsie Jerome, Mirta Jerome, Danielle Jerome, Marie Ange Mosca, Mirlande Leonard, Jean Aristide Jerome and Eva Van Tuinen. His grand-children: Valerie Jerome, Alexandra Jerome, Christian Van-Tuinen, Vivianne Leonard, Belinda Mosca, Fabrice Beauvais, Olivia Leonard, Nicholas Leonard, Kevin Pierre, Bina Jerome, Juliana Dorelien, Alissa Dorelien, Antwan Dorelien, DashnaLius and Wens Lius. His loving sisters and brothers:Arismene Charles and family, ElinaBlaize and family, AcelmoBernadel and family, Alberto Bernadel and family, AdmiraBernadel and family. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation on Friday afternoon, November 14th from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324.

Funeral service on Saturday, November 15th at 10:00 A.M.at St. Gregory Church, 200 N. University Drive, Plantation, Florida 33324. Father Michael Hoyer will officiate. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Reception after the funeral services will be held at Sheraton Suites Plantation, 311 N. University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324.
