Francisco "Cisco" Abreu, beloved husband of Elizabeth Abreu, loving father of Isabella and Alexander Abreu, cherished son of Cruz Méndez and the late Luis Méndez, dear brother of Ramon, Kevin, and Martha Abreu-Mon, passed away on May 18, 2024, in Davie, Florida, at the age of 45.
Cisco was born on December 3, 1978, in Plainfield, New Jersey, and was known for his amazing kindness, loyalty, humility, and love. He was a man of God whose generosity knew no bounds. After Hollywood Hills High School, he went on to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, later transferring to Sheridan Technical College to pursue his barbering license. Cisco owned a successful barbering business which he initially opened to care for elders and veterans. He was a pillar of his community, always supporting law enforcement, shelters, local initiatives and youth sports groups. His smile could light up a room, earning him the nickname "HULK" for his immense strength of heart.
In his free time, Cisco found solace in nature, enjoying his backyard oasis with a glass of wine and the music of Whitney Houston and Kenny G. He was an avid fisherman, runner, and a dedicated supporter of his daughter's softball games. Cisco's favorite holidays were the 4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas, cherished moments spent making memories with his loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter Hollywood in Hollywood, FL.
Cisco will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire us all.
