Fred was born in a little town called Dudley in Georgia. His father's name was Grafton Wiggins Warren but everyone called him "Doc." His Mother's name was Virgie Marie Haskins. When Fred was 10 years old the family moved from Macon, Georgia to Miami. When Fred was 16 he started working for MPS construction. This became Fred's first real job. In time Fred began a cement foundation business laying the floors in a lot of homes in Kendal, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. After serving time in the United States Army Fred became interested in training horses and with the help of H.R Capel, Fred started his 45 year career in Thoroughbred Horse Training. One of his most famous horses was Island Skipper. Fred received many awards at Calder Race Track. Fred was a very generous man. Strong willed, but soft hearted. Fred was loved by many people in both Dade and Broward Counties, as well as throughout the United State and into Canada. An entrepreneur in all areas of business Fred helped many get their businesses started. Fred was a friend to everyone who was willing to work hard for themselves. He was and is deeply loved by people all around the country. Services will be held at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home located at 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Fl 33024 954-989-1550. The family will received visitors from 10am.till Noon Service will begin at 1pm.
