

Garth David Lashbrook 72, of Ft. Lauderdale passed away on March 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a heroic battle against ALS. Garth was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1943. After serving honorably in the Navy, he moved to Miami where he met the love of his life, JoAn. He received his accounting degree and founded Lashbrook & Associates, P.A. in 1966. He has had the privilege of working with the finest people and clients he had ever known. He always considered himself lucky to have had people's trust and loyalty over the past fifty years in practice. Garth enjoyed working, traveling, reading, boating, cooking, relaxing in the Keys, and most of all, enjoying time with family and friends. He was an avid Dolfan and a season ticket holder since the 1970's, tailgating was a passion! Garth is survived by his loving wife JoAn; his sons and wives, Dean (Martha), Dru (Wanda) grandchildren, James, Patrick William, Peter, Michael; their mother Mary Ellyn; Caroline, Nicholas, Christine and Thomas; his Great-Grandchildren, James, Lee and Harper. He will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit and generosity. He was in every sense of the word a true Renaissance man. We will miss you Bop-Bop, and will carry on your spirit for generations to come! We will have a Celebration of his life on Sunday March 26th from 4-8pm. Fred Hunters Funeral Home, Davie, FL.
