George was born in Brooklyn, New York to George and Emma Tice on August 9th, 1949. He went to school at Grady Vocational High School and eventually married the love of his life, Francine Tice on October 31st, 1971 in New York. George had a love for creating things, and at a very early age started building transistors. He went on to become an innovative entrepreneur and designer of consumer audio and home theater reproduction equipment, having developed the first state-of-the-art power conditioner, called the Power Block, in 1985.
Through his entrepreneurial spirit, George founded Tice Audio in 1987 with his wife, Francine, and worked his entire life solving industrial and technical sound problems by inventing practical purification solutions. George’s brilliant inventions were frequently lauded in audio magazines and by enthusiasts who shared his view that quality production was more important than making a profit. He was an avid lover of music, photography and science fiction, and his hobbies included playing bass guitar and frequenting the firing range. He believed in the value of self-reliance and the power of imagination.
George is preceded in death by his brother, Roy, and his parents. He is survived by Francine Tice, and his cousins, Elizabeth, Elaine, Marguerite, Nichole, and Lorraine. The family of George sends a prayer that George may rest in peace.
