George D. Vrotsos, 82, of Davie, Florida passed away November 15, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1935, in Samos, Greece, the son of Demetrios G. and Kallirroy (Orologas) Vrotsos.
George came to the United States in the early 1950's, settling in Youngstown, Ohio. He served 2 tours in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963. Following his discharge, George moved to South Florida. He was a member of North Miami Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation and of American Legion Post 385 in Pembroke Pines.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Vickie; sons, Demetrios (Kimberly), John (Sandra) and Emmanuel (Elena); grandchildren, Yanni, Marina, Alexios, Georgie, Arianni, Victoria and Adrianna; sisters, Athena Tsamanis and Kiki Kyriazis; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
George will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
