Gwen left this life on September 27th after a long illness. She was born in Revere, Massachussetts to the late Percival and Daisy Hartley. Gwen is predeceased by her loving husband John Trainor in 2010 after 65 years of marriage.
She became a resident of Hallandale Beach, FL in 1979 from West Boylston/Lowell, MA after being a snowbird for many years.
She was a loving mother to daughters Gwendolyn Abell (late Bert Abell) and Janetanne Hartley-Trainor and son-in-law Wayne Webster.
Gwen was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. A member of Eastern Star, Stella Chapter #3 in Worcester, MA. Served as Mother Advisor with the Bancroft Order of the Rainbow For Girls for many years. She loved dancing and taught line-dancing in Hallandale Beach.
Gwen and John will be buried at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the; Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Crew St in Springfield, MA 01104-2330 in their names. John was a Shriner of the Aleppo Temple, MA, or donations may also be made to; North Miami Foundation for Senior Citizens, 620 NE 127 St., North Miami, FL 33161.
