

Harry Rameshwar, 78, of Weston, FL, passed away on May 11, 2015. Born to Rameshwar and Bipti on July 20, 1936, in Georgetown, Guyana, he gained the nicknames "Towny" and "Town Boy." He was a caring and generous husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his brother, Sahadeo; sister, Sumintra; devoted wife, Leela; four loving children, Robbie, Roy, Ramona and Rowena; supportive daughters-in-law, Vashtee and Raheela; and nine adoring grandchildren, Shivana, Raina, Nicole, Ravika, Czeslaw, Renee, Bridgette, Ravin and Rylan.
Harry was an esteemed accountant and business owner for almost 60 years. He held education to the highest regard and was awarded a scholarship by the Guyana Government through the British Council to study abroad. At Highbury College of Technology in Portsmouth, England, he achieved his diploma in Management Accounting and graduated with distinction. Throughout his career he was well-respected and admired for his hard work and perseverance. Among the many accomplishments he found pride in were his time at Demerara Company Holding and Diamonds Liquor Limited, becoming the youngest Head Bookkeeper in Guyana, serving as a consultant for Merrill Lynch, and opening successful businesses with his wife once moving to America.
Despite his many professional achievements, Harry's greatest pride came from his family. His legacy lives on in all those who were blessed to have met him. Harry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
