Born in Washington D.C on September 12, 1931, the son of Howard G. Hibbert Sr. and Mildred Hibbert. He and his family to moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, then in 1948 moved to Fort Lauderdale where Mr. Hibbert graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1951.
Following high school, Howard enlisted in the United States Navy serving his country during the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After his honorable discharge in 1956 from the Navy, Howard joined the Local Union 728 as an electrician apprentice in Fort Lauderdale and later worked all over the country.
Survived by his son, Howard G. (Pam) Hibbert III, daughter, Marlene (John) Kelleher, two grandchildren, Amanda and Crystal Hibbert.
Visitation on Wednesday, October 16th from 3:00 ~ 5:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood. Mr. Hibbert will be buried at South Florida National Cemetery will full military honors on Friday, October 18th at 11:00 A.M.
