James Francis Crosbie, 66, of Davie, Florida, passed away on November 19th 2014. He was born to Herbert and Constance (Bill and Tina) Crosbie in Worchester, MA on September 20, 1948. Jimmy graduated from Miami Central High School in 1966, where he was class president for 3 years as well as a drum major and musician. He received two BAs in Political Science, one from UF and another from FIU. He married the love of his life, Gail Crosbie, on August 5, 1989 in Miami, Florida, and they lived there until they relocated with their family to Davie, Florida in 1996.
Jimmy was a talented musician, a passionate scholar, a gifted storyteller, and a loving, devoted family man. He was an incredible cook and had a brilliant mind, which was portrayed in every aspect of his life. He loved history, sports, a good bottle of wine (or 2), and having a good time sharing laughs and experiences with family and friends. He was a sweet, sensitive, charming man; and above all else, one of a kind. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, his three children: Megan, Spencer, and Anthony, and his devoted cousins and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Autism Awareness Society, which Jimmy and Gail held very close to their hearts. A mass will be held at Saint David's Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 26, at 10:30 AM.
