

Jim was born to Donald and Leona Cross on 10/20/1947 in Evansville, Indiana. He and his family lived in many places during his childhood, including a period of time in Italy, where he had some of his fondest childhood memories. In 1967 he was drafted into the army and served honorably in Vietnam, receiving several medals. In 1983 he married Lee Hainline at her parents’ farm where her horse Joey served as the usher. Jim worked for IBM writing and negotiating contracts and enjoyed his many business trips to Japan. He was passionate about tennis and golf, but he also enjoyed working in the yard, helping friends, caring for his pets, and managing the farm where he and his wife boarded horses and raised cows.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Leona Cross.
Jim is survived by Larry Cross, his brother, Debbie Clarke his sister and his wife, Lee Hainline. But his generous heart and kind soul will live on.The family of Jim Cross wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Howard Koch, his primary care physician, Yane, our hospice Nurse, Dr. Kahn, our hospice Doctor and Rose Parkins, Anita Grant, Sherene Orlebar, his home health aides who took such wonderful care of him in his last year.
Jim did not want to have a funeral or memorial service but to honor his life, contributions may be made to:
