Jean-Baptiste Garcon

Jean-Baptiste was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on January 31st,1934, went to school at the Lycee of Cap- Haitien, continued his schooling in Port-au-Prince at the Lycee Toussaint Louverture. He graduated from the military academy, served in the Fire Company as an assistant fire chief, got promoted to fire chief, also served in the Haitian military as Officer and went up the ranks of Captain, Major, Lieutenant, Lieutenant- Colonel and served last as a Colonel.

Jean-Baptiste came to the United States where he worked as a security officer for Aventura Mall for several years before retiring. He was a hard worker and a family man who cared deeply about the well-being of others; a gentleman who had a positive impact on everyone. He gave respect to all and was loved by all. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading books, learning new languages, and spending time with loved ones.

He is survived by his daughters, Marie Florence Garcon Grand-Pierre, Rose-Mireille Garcon Exume and Marie Danielle Garcon from his former spouse, the late Daniella Obas.

His daughters Marie Judith Laura Garcon, Altagrace Marie Paule Emmanuelle Garcon, Emmanuelle Cassandra Garcon from his life-long partner Alourdes Ghislaine Dantica; his daughters Yvette Nougez and Denise Alcindor; his sons Patrick Frantz Jeudy and Wooby (Billy) from previous relationships.

His grandchildren: Anastasia Grand-Pierre, Barbara Christine Grand-Pierre, Alexandre Phillipe Grand-Pierre, Melissa Exume, Claudine Exume, Bertrand Exume, Christian Exume, Anne-Carine Exume, Mathieu Exume, Olivier Exume, Ericka Lajoie-Michel, Nathalie Lajoie, Hamilton Michael Renaud, Princess Caridad Fortune, Marvin Lee Renaud, Joanna Alyn Garcon, Jennifer Bruno, Ann Alvire Jeudy, Winnie Patricia Jeudy, Vita Christie Jeudy, Haendel Stanley Lubin Jeudy, Andre Stephan Jeudy, France Andre Jeudy, Carmelle Hann-Andre Jeudy.

Jean-Baptiste is preceded in death by his mother Ipolia Prophete, father Celestin Garcon, and daughter Marie Lucie Garcon-Wilson.
