Jean-Luc was born in St. Benoit, Quebec, Canada on August 7, 1930. Raised and educated there, he received his Master's Degree from Laval University in Quebec.
Before his retirement in 1985, he owned and operated Rancourt Insurance Company in St. Benoit and served as Mayor of that city and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Rancourt became a United States Citizen in 2004. He enjoyed playing golf, biking and working around his home.
Survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (Salmon) Rancourt, two children from a previous marriage, Annie and Pierre Rancourt, two step-children Jeffrey Albanese and Dorothy Lettera and granddaughter Alexandra Provost. Also survived by four sisters, Paula, Lucille, Annette and Francoise Rancourt, mother-in-law, Dorothy Lane and his very close nephew, Andre Veilleux.
Visitation on Friday, September 7th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at the Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Garden Home, 6301 Taft Street Hollywood. The funeral service will begin at 7:30 at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial will take place in St. Benoit, Quebec, Canada.
