Evelyne loved welcoming guests into her home, cooking delicious meals for her family, sewing beautiful garments, observing nature, learning about animals, playing solitaire, shopping with friends, and telling colorful stories and jokes. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and spent many years traveling for both business and leisure.
Her laughter could warm the coldest of rooms and her smile could brighten the darkest of days. She enjoyed dancing and listening to L’Orchestre Septentrional. Evelyne also spent her time remaining current on the political climate of Haïti and keeping in touch with family and friends on the phone.
Evelyne was a generous soul who graciously cared for those in need. Her house was a home to many and her memory will continue to shelter us all.
