

Jeffrey Paul Paris, 78, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on October 26, 2020, surrounded with love, peace, and family. He was born to parents Mary Repo and John Paris, on December 15, 1941 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Raised in the New York and New Jersey areas, Jeff spent many fond summers at the Jersey Shore. Jeff is a proud graduate of the University of Miami (Go Canes!), earning both a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government as well as a Master of Arts in Administration.
Jeff was a dedicated employee of Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 38 years, working at Carol City High School (Go Chiefs!) as both a teacher and athletic director. Jeff was incredibly proud of his time spent at Carol City, participating in multiple State Football Championships. Jeff also carried his love for sports over to his personal life, serving as a softball coach for his daughter from the early years of t-ball all the way through high school. Jeff’s dedication to his career has been felt and recognized throughout the community, earning him multiple honors including a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Miami as well as being honored multiple times by Who’s Who Among Teachers.
Upon his retirement, Jeff continued to be an avid supporter of sports, especially his favorite- football. His favorite weekends consisted of him and his wife attending Carol City football games at Traz Powell stadium on Friday nights and University of Miami games on Saturdays. He further enjoyed his retirement by travelling the world with his wife and spending time with family and friends. His love of the outdoors, trains, sports, and animals will always be remembered.
Jeff married Virginia, the love of his life, in 1997, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter Leanne Wade and husband Ryan, stepson Joseph Jordan and wife Monica, and brother John Paris and wife Lynn. He was a devoted grandfather, survived by four grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Avery, Colton, Madeline, and Joseph.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 7th at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home located at 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024. Visitation will begin at 11am with a service to immediately follow at 12pm.
