Joan D. Allen

Joan was born in Cambridge, Jamaica to Theodore and Rhoda Blair on August 26, 1933. She went to school at Manchester High. She married Wilbert “Major” Allen. She worked for Alcan, Jamaica Gleaner, and Joralemon Dental in New York until retirement.

Joan is preceded in death by parents Theodore and Rhoda Blair, brother Noel, and sister Thelma.

Joan is survived by devoted children Wayne, Grace and Karen, brother Clive Blair (Patsy), sisters Norma Hendriks (Dennis) and Erica; grandchildren Sean, Clayton and Lisa; great-grandson Rayquan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 17th at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home & Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 17th at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home & Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. Burial will follow at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 3001 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL, 33024. Arrangements are by Fred Hunters Funeral Home.
