The funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. Pastor Bernie Diaz and Pastor Jorge Quinones of Christ Community Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 12pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Fred Hunter’s Memorial Gardens at 2:30pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.

John was born in New York, New York on January 29,1960. He graduated from South Miami High School and continued to receive a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.  During his time away in college John paused his studies to go on a two-year search for truth.  His life was forever changed by his newfound faith in Christ.

John was married to Kathleen on June 24, 1989. Married 34 years; they enjoyed traveling all around the country while summering in Northern Michigan.  John loved hunting, hiking, fishing, and exploring God’s creation.  

John found his calling to be a pastor in 1997 and never looked back. He held many vocations over his lifetime; however, none of them impacted him as his decade ministering to his congregation. He touched many lives and left an eternal impact on countless individuals. He enjoyed discussing the Bible and all its mysteries.

John is survived by wife Kathleen, daughters: Megan, Hannah, and Andrea, brothers: Stephen, George, James, Robert, and sister Linda, grandson Nathaniel John and other family and friends.

John is preceded in death by father Andre and mother Magda.
