John served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge, began his career as a switchman with AT&T, living in south Florida since 1959.
John is survived by his son, John E. Eder, Jr.; grandchildren, Kim Cardona, Jennifer Smith and John Laurence Angus; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Steven and Evan and sister, Julie Loesch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Linda Smith; brother, Dr. Robert Eder and sister, Margaret Eder.
The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North; 3001 N. 72nd Ave. in Hollywood.
