I will never forget when grandpa jack would rip pieces of a napkin and put it on his fingers and make them disappear and reappear, still haven't figured it out.. He always had a smile! I love you grandpa jack

My grandfather passed away Thursday morning. He was 90 years old and had an amazing life. He was a WWII vet, a boxer, a golfer, a bowler, a fisherman, and very handy with tools. I loved hearing him play the spoons and hearing his stories about 1-room schoolrooms, prohibition, and WWII. I will miss his colorful, groan-producing jokes. My father was not in my life but Gramps was always there for me and taught me many things. Words cannot express how much he meant to me or how much I will miss him. Happy father's day Gramps. I love you.

Marilyn, Jackie and family, We are sorry for your loss and will keep you all in our prayers. We have so many wonderful memories of Jack from our time as Elk's. He was a wonderful man and could always make us chuckle. He will be sorely missed by many.

Last night a war veteran and a good man passed away. He was not suffering but his soul out lived his body. He was 90 and experienced a great many adventures in life that he shared with me on a few quiet afternoons. He was the only male father figure in my life and he will be missed. He served as a Sea Bee in the military building landing strips for the Allied Forces during WWII after enlisting at the young age of 17. I am proud to have known him and I will always love you. He spent the last few days gathered with his family. Now he is with his father and my mother. I love you and I'm happy you are in a better place.

Jackie, may your dad rest in peace! My thoughts are with you and your family.

Jack welcomed me into his home during the holidays. His son in law and I being very good friends, celebrated many dinners there. I am more lucky than most to have known someone who played their part in the last great war. Future generations will never understand. God speed Jack.

Our family found such joy in meeting Marilyn and Jack, spending time with both of them and growing to love them. Jack was a true man in every sense of the word.
