John was born in Miami, Florida, to Jay and Verna Roberts. on (September 24, 1959). John attended special education programs as a child. He attended the Marion Center in his teenage years. His parents would always reside on an acre of land, allowing John to have a vegetable garden and raise chickens.
John loved plants and animals. For a few years, John volunteered at the project stable and was able to care for a variety of animals. John loved country music and attended rodeos. John loved to decorate for Christmas.
John is preceded in death by his father, Jay Roberts, and numerous aunts and uncles who were always very kind and attentive.
John is survived by his mother, Verna Roberts, his brother Gregory Roberts, his sister in law, Cary Roberts, and numerous cousins who loved him deeply.
A visitation for John will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. A committal service will occur Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens West, Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024.
